People are Paramount…

People don't usually like their photograph taken, but I love taking photographs.  Putting people at ease is the most important part of creating natural and beautiful images.  So, if it's capturing or creating an image at a Wedding, Party or an Event, or even a Family Portrait Session, I'll take the stresses and strain away from you, and capture a photograph you'll treasure for years to come.  

I am based in Middlesbrough in the North East of England, a beautiful part of the country; surrounded by the North Yorkshire Moors and the North East Coast, I love it's natural beauty, along with the contrast of the dramatic heavy industries within the area.

Jan Secker Photographic is a business built from a life long love of imagery.    I gained my Bachelor of Arts in Photography with First Class Honors.  I proceeded to gain work within the photographic industry, starting out in School Portraiture covering the whole of the North East, including Newcastle and Middlesbrough.  I then ventured into education and work as a lecturer within the Photography Department of Cleveland College of Art & Design, as well as running my own professional photography business.  I take great pride in my work, whatever the project, whatever size, a small intimate family portrait session or wedding, giving the best professional service possible, customer focused all the way.

I produce photographs with a variety of equipment, either traditional Film (35mm/Medium Formats) or using Pro-Level Canon Cameras.  Please contact me to arrange a session or discuss your requirements.
